Food Safety in Catering - Level 2
This qualification is aimed at those who are, or intend to be, food handlers working in catering. That is anyone working in a catering setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled. It is also appropriate for those providing services to catering premises including pest-control operators, maintenance engineers, cleaners, and laundry and delivery personnel.
The course will run from 9:00am until 5:00pm

The topics covered include:
- how to take personal responsibility for food safety
- the importance of keeping yourself clean and hygienic
- the importance of keeping work areas clean and hygienic
- the importance of keeping food safe
This qualification can be assessed by a multiple-choice examination or workbook.
The courses are taught by qualified food officers on behalf of Highfield Qualifications and are regulated by Ofqual (Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation).
