Report fly-tipping

Fly-tipping is the illegal disposal of waste and is a criminal offence that can carry a sentence of 5 years' imprisonment and a fine of at least £50,000.

Fly-tipping:

  • creates a danger to people
  • costs tax payers in Northamptonshire over £750,000 to deal with every year

We have the power to issue on-the-spot fines for fly-tipping, and to seize vehicles which have been used in fly-tipping.

The Fixed Penalty Notice for fly-tipping is £400, reduced to £360 if paid within 10 days of the offence.
