Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG)

From 1 April 2021 all remaining Additional Restriction Grant (ARG) funding held by the 3 predecessor councils (Daventry District Council, Northampton Borough Council and South Northamptonshire Council) was transferred to West Northamptonshire Council.

A new ARG scheme was delivered across West Northamptonshire from 1 April 2021 onwards designed to provide support alongside the mandatory Restart Grant scheme, this closed on 30 July 2021. 

West Northamptonshire Council has secured an Additional Restrictions Grant top-up of the original Additional Restrictions Grant funding by achieving spend of their initial allocations by 30 July 2021.

Payments

As with other COVID-19 business grants, local grants to businesses will be treated as taxable income.
